There’s a relaxation sitting room where guests wait for their services. Guests can choose to pay an additional fee to enjoy the Thermal Suites Room with its heated loungers, saunas, and steam rooms. Plenty of vegetarian choices and global cuisines are available in Deck 16’s Windjammer Marketplace.

Some specialty restaurants claim to have a dress code, but it's not enforced. For example, Chops, the onboard steakhouse, is supposed to be formal. However, I dined next to a table full of sports jersey-clad passengers who didn't seem the least bit out of place. All Royal Caribbean ships offer North American-style 110-volt outlets and European-style 220-volt outlets in rooms. In my cabin, a duo — one European-style and one North American-style — was hidden under the vanity. On top of the vanity, a multi-port set of three North American outlets was set into a round base.

There are a variety of cabins to choose from including adjoining rooms for families, cabins with gorgeous sea views, and luxurious suites to please even the most discerning traveler. The Allure of the Seas even offers cabins overlooking Central Park and Boardwalk. Dress shorts and polo shirts would be acceptable, but no bathing suits or pool cover-ups at dinner.

Aft on Deck 16 (entrance point) was installed the 10-story high waterslide "Ultimate Abyss". Allure OTS is one of the few vessels named by a cartoon movie character. The ceremony took place on the 28th of November, 2010 at Port Everglades near Fort Lauderdale. Allure of the Seas is breathtaking, both in scale and ambition, yet it never feels overwhelming. Deck 14 is all about the kids in Adventure Ocean, and, at the back of the ship, right up on Deck 15, you have the Sports Area, complete with FlowRider surf simulators, a zipline, mini-golf, Ping-Pong and basketball courts. The ambience and atmosphere in each area are so distinct, it's as if there are seven different ships on one. Adventure Ocean, Royal Caribbean's stellar kids club, has a vast space on Allure of the Seas. It offers separate areas for Royal Babies and Tots (6 months to 2 years), Aquanauts (3 to 5 years), Explorers (6 to 8 years) and Voyagers (9 to 11 years) on Deck 14 forward. There are also dedicated spaces for arts and crafts, science experiments and parent-child playtime (for the youngest cruisers). Personally, having these features missing does not make Allure of the Seas any less desirable to me. I rarely use the onboard waterslides or Ultimate Abyss, and while an escape room is fun, I can keep busy with other activities onboard. Plus, you can still find a zip line, sports court, 2 FlowRiders, Adventure Ocean programming, a carousel, and other kid-friendly activities on the ship.
Get down after dark with more bars than any ship out there and savor a world of possibilities right onboard. City dwellers feel right at home at Central Park midship on deck 8 of the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas cruise ship. It's like a cosmopolitan open-air park with no views of the ocean. You really feel like you are experiencing summer in the city in this unique area. The area is lush and green, with many places to sit and have a quiet drink or just snuggle with your best friend.
